GOLDSBY, OKLAHOMA — Governor Kevin Stitt has ordered all American and Oklahoma flags on state property to be flown at half-staff from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, through 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026.

The directive comes as the state honors the lives and service of Goldsby Fire Chief Bryan Jenkins and firefighter Todd Pendleton, who both died in the line of duty.

Chief Jenkins, 63, and Pendleton, 62, were longtime volunteer firefighters with the Goldsby Fire Department. Officials say both men dedicated countless hours to protecting their community and surrounding areas.

In a statement, Governor Stitt praised their courage and commitment, calling their service a reflection of “the best of the Oklahoma spirit.” He added that their sacrifice represents the highest level of public service.

Communities across Oklahoma are now mourning alongside the families, fellow first responders, and residents of Goldsby as they remember two men who gave their lives in service to others.

ONWN will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available.
