Oklahoma 36-Hour Weather Forecast: Windy Today, Warmer Thursday

Oklahoma is experiencing a shift in weather conditions today as a cold front moves through the state, bringing gusty winds and cooler temperatures.

Wednesday Forecast

Skies will remain mostly sunny statewide, but strong north winds will be the primary weather concern. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts reaching 40 mph are expected, particularly across central and western Oklahoma.

Due to low humidity and strong winds, fire danger is elevated statewide this afternoon. Residents are urged to avoid outdoor burning and remain cautious with any activities that could spark a fire.

High temperatures today will range from the upper 40s and low 50s across northern Oklahoma to the mid and upper 50s across southern portions of the state.

Wednesday Night

Winds will gradually weaken this evening as skies clear. Overnight lows will fall into the mid-20s to lower 30s statewide, with colder readings across the Panhandle and northeast Oklahoma.

Thursday Forecast

Thursday brings calmer and warmer conditions. Sunshine will dominate with lighter winds, allowing afternoon highs to climb into the upper 50s and low 60s.

Thursday night remains quiet with clear skies and lows settling into the upper 20s and 30s.

Oklahoma News & Weather Network will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
