OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The south entrance of the Oklahoma State Capitol was vandalized overnight with what officials described as violent and vulgar rhetoric.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident. Troopers responded to the scene, collected evidence, and are working to identify and hold the person or persons responsible accountable.

State officials emphasized that the Capitol is a place for civil political discourse and the exchange of ideas, noting that acts of vandalism undermine the dignity of the people of Oklahoma represented there.

Authorities say vandalism is a criminal offense and will not be tolerated. The investigation remains ongoing.
