Oklahoma Forecast Update for Monday, March 9

Warm, breezy, and dry weather is in place across much of Oklahoma today. Highs climb into the 80s statewide, with southwest Oklahoma near 90.

Main concern today:

Fire weather danger across western, northern, and central Oklahoma, including the Panhandle.

Storm chances today:

A few showers and storms are possible in eastern Oklahoma, with southeast Oklahoma carrying a limited chance for a brief strong to severe storm.

Tuesday outlook:

Storm chances increase statewide Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. Official forecasts continue to show the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and some tornado potential, especially as storms organize later in the day.
