GLENPOOL, Okla. — A late-night police response in Glenpool on February 21, 2026, led to a SWAT deployment and the safe arrest of a suspect following a domestic-related incident involving reported threats and a firearm.
According to Glenpool Police, officers initially responded to a vehicle crash near Highway 75 and East 156th Street. During the investigation, officers learned the situation involved a domestic dispute and allegations that a suspect had made threats toward a female victim while reportedly armed.
Police say the suspect left the scene before officers arrived. Through investigative efforts, officers determined the individual had likely returned to a nearby residence.
Due to safety concerns for the victim, responding officers, and surrounding residents, the Southwest Tactical Team (SWAT) was called to assist.
After a coordinated response, authorities safely took Michael Whitman into custody without further incident.

Officials confirmed:
– No officers were injured
– No ongoing threat to the public exists
– The situation was resolved safely
