Two People Killed in West Tulsa Shooting

Tulsa Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in West Tulsa.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 5:15 p.m. on January 27, 2026, near 7th Street and 56th West Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police say the victims were a 45-year-old man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and a 45-year-old woman who had also been shot. Tulsa Fire Department and EMSA provided emergency medical care at the scene before both victims were transported to a hospital, where they later died from their injuries.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators remain on scene as the case is still considered an active investigation. Authorities say preliminary information indicates the two victims were in a relationship and lived together at the residence.
Police emphasize there is no danger to the public at this time.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, limited details are being released. Tulsa Police say additional information is expected to be provided in an update on Wednesday.
