EDMOND, OK – Residents in Edmond will have the opportunity to pick up free trees as part of a community initiative aimed at expanding the city’s urban forest.
The giveaway will take place during the opening day of the Edmond Farmer’s Market on Saturday, April 11th, beginning at 8:00 AM at the City of Edmond Parks and Recreation site.
🌿 WHAT’S AVAILABLE
Residents living within Edmond city limits can receive:
Up to 2 trees per household
Maximum of 1 fruit tree per household
Available inventory includes:
400 tree seedlings, featuring species such as bald cypress, bur oak, red mulberry, and southern catalpa
100 fruit trees in 3-gallon containers, including Santa Rosa plum, Red Haven peach, and Pink Lady apple varieties
📋 REQUIREMENTS
To participate, residents must:
Live within Edmond city limits
Present a valid Edmond utility bill as proof of residence
🎯 BONUS EVENT
Visitors can also take part in a special Urban Forest Scavenger Hunt during the event weekend at Festival Marketplace, adding an interactive element to the community celebration.
